On July 10, 2026 Maya Kuriel stunned listeners with a 7 track EP, A Quiet Collapse, featuring her previously released single “Heavenly". The songstress created a beautifully crafted project that left us in awe by her vocals and creative direction.

A Heavenly Voice Suited For Pop Lovers

The EP is composed of 6 full songs and 1 interlude. Something that grabbed our attention was how perfect the length was, it’s ideal to catapult her towards new playlists and larger audiences overall. The Korean-American singer enchanted us and lured us into her music, not only with a voice that can endlessly be listened to on replay but also with topics that are rooted in human experiences.

Each song is able to transmit the exact feelings of the words written within the lyrics.

The tracks for A Quiet Collapse are as follows: “Heavenly”, “WORLD SPINNING”, “Static”, “Interlude”, “Forget My Name”, “Backwards” and “Silent Treatment.”

When listening to “Heavenly”, we ultimately feel the cinematic and greater than life explosion of emotions that we tend to feel when we are drawn to someone.

During “WORLD SPINNING” we continue to feel the high throughout most of the song until the bridge appears, then she begins singing “Lately, I'm falling to pieces”. This was a wonderful and subtle lead into the slower and more outwardly emotional “Static”.

Then, the interlude breaks the sadness with a snippet of Maya speaking about a betrayal that left her broken. “Forget My Name” which, contrary to the name, is about making sure the person never forgets her name - epic. The vulnerability showcased during “backwards” made it so that we could sit in sadness with Kuriel and feel the heartache with her.

Lastly, “Silent Treatment” felt as though Maya Kuriel was able to release any bubbling emotions through the simple yet impactful chorus.

Because this is a compact project, it was difficult to pick favorites. Ultimately, we found that “Heavenly” and “Backwards” were the two we replayed the most. We are excited to follow Maya’s journey with this EP and beyond!
