The young songstress Iris Copperman recently released her EP Middle School Dropout, a project filled with delicate songwriting and an easy-to-listen-to voice. Iris writes about her teenage struggles in a way that anyone, regardless of age, can relate to. This EP showcases her experiences in school, her inner thoughts, and questions about life.
Six Songs Filled with Life
Oftentimes, teens get overlooked, spoken over, and not taken seriously when in reality they have their own view of the world. Iris puts her experiences and views of the world into her music. In just 6 songs, she managed to express her kindness, her hurt, and her awkwardness. The songwriting throughout the entire project is filled with wisdom and authenticity.

“Struggle Bus,"“Bully,”“Awkward,”“Middle School Dropout,” “Roses,” and “Kinder” are the tracks that make up this project. Each song has its own message, and when puzzled together, they create a cohesive and enjoyable project. Iris’ name is in the credits of every song, which means her vision has been brought to life with Middle School Dropout.
