The remarkably talented artist known as VITA recently released her single “PLEASER” as a taste of her upcoming album OPIA. We had the opportunity to hear her talk about her music, her life right now, and her creative vision.
First off, VITA looked incredible sporting a wardrobe for an upcoming project she is currently working on. She told us she loves fashion and even took part in making and dyeing the fabric she was wearing. VITA shared that she is not only filming in Mexico City, but she's also fallen in love with the atmosphere and now lives there. Her excitement about what was happening around her was a breath of fresh air.
“The sky is the limit”
In a recent social media post, VITA mentioned finally having a budget for her music video. We had to ask if this newfound freedom to go bigger made her excited for all the creative planning she can now do. She said, “The sky is the limit...my team at Interscope is so amazing…I have a joke with my team that there’s probably somebody in Interscope that rolls their eyes every time they get a text from me because my ideas are so absolutely nutcase.” She continued to say that it “feels really expansive now … you know when I first started I had these massive ideas and I just didn’t have the funds to do them….I’m looking out at them setting up a set right now, and I’m just like getting emotional thinking about, you know, 5 years ago. This was not the case for me. So, I’m deeply grateful every day.”
Her enthusiasm for this new phase of life was bright, and it made us truly appreciate this first single, “PLEASER,” and the visual video released for it. It felt like part of a short film or a series of videos that would tell a bigger story. The colors are bright with a cinematic feel, and her fashion is dramatic and avant-garde in the best way possible. We look forward to the release of OPIA and to seeing VITA continue to share her vision with the world.
Showing Her Inner World

Since VITA is a true world builder and her artistic expressions are personal, we asked her how the title of her upcoming album, OPIA, fits her narrative creatively or personally.
She elaborated by saying, “ OPIA means the vulnerability and intensity of looking someone in the eye, and I think that kind of encapsulates the whole project of like looking at yourself rather than looking at other people.” She went on to say that before, her music was very outward, whereas now it is more inward. She spoke about introspection and the lack of eye contact within society nowadays. Something that stayed with us was when she stated: “When anybody made too much eye contact with me, I would get really uncomfortable and then I had to ask myself why I was so afraid to be seen.”
Well, she certainly isn’t afraid to be seen anymore. Her art is being poured into the ears and eyes of people everywhere!
