Dark Pop Princess: bree-on-uh is now

New Dark Pop artist, bree-on-uh, is on a roll as she releases her new full-length album after success with her featured single, “How Does It Feel?” off her sophomore EP, Overkill. “How Does It Feel?” launched her into the TikTok viral space with 90,000 streams and 30,000+ TikTok followers after its release.

bree-on-uh has been working on her craft relentlessly, starting to write music at nine years old, and has worked with some notable figures including 2013 Berklee Alumni Tracie Lombardo on vocal technique and stage presence, Producer/Engineer and Loft Sound  Studio CEO Donnie Klang from MTV's Making The Band, and Measure of Music's Founder Christine Osazuwa. Her dedication shines through her work and sets the groundwork for the full-length, The Cost of Loving Young. 

Cinematic Sounds

bree-on-uh’s sound is a cathartic downtempo soundtrack that conjures images of walking through New York on cloudy, rainy days in the best way possible. bree-on-uh uses the ballad as the foundation for her music, introducing the album with the piano-driven track, “Alive Again,” to set the tone for a melancholic journey through youth.

The track breaks and brings in a rock influence through a heavy, drone-esque drumbeat reminiscent of Blackwinterwells' alternative production. Throughout the album, the cinematic soundscape ebbs and flows with the meshing of organic and electronic instruments, playing with Post-Punk formulas on the track “Polite” and showing some of Bree-on-uh’s other influences. 

The arrangements throughout the album create a layered, atmospheric, and lush production that seamlessly blends, making it a new Dark-Pop powerhouse.
