Blake Mills has traveled around due to his music career, but he began that journey in California, where he was born and raised. His journey began at a young age, when he formed a band with Taylor Goldsmith, which lasted a few years before he continued his own journey in music. Mills began touring as a guitarist for several artists, including Julian Casablancas and Band of Horses, before beginning his producing journey.

Mills’ work in music led him to collaborate with artists such as Pink, Lana Del Rey, Fiona Apple, Ed Sheeran, and many more. At the 58th Annual Grammy Awards, he received a Grammy for his work with Alabama Shakes on their project ‘Sound & Color,' in the category of Best Alternative Music Album. His 2nd win was during the 68th Annual Grammy Awards for his and Pino Palladino’s album ‘That Wasn’t A Dream’ in the category Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical.
