After playing her biggest show in Liverpool to date this past May, Born to Bite is a record of radical honesty and the journey of womanhood.

Nomadic Lifestyles and Genre Mixing Inspiration

Holler has gone on record about her nomadic upbringing, which has allowed her to engage with multiple cultures, musical styles, and subcultures, leading her to reside in the UK currently and to have recently traveled to Poland.

Holler’s travels have lent themselves to the fluidity of sound in Holler’s work, shifting genres with ease and confidence. After appearing on Spotify playlists like Best Viral TikTok Songs 2026, Holler’s international audience is growing, including a festival performance at Sound City Music Festival.

On the Born to Bite EP, Holler’s writing takes a candid look at relationships and growth. Starting with an indie electro track, “Bruising” opens with a tongue-in-cheek commentary on faking it in bed, but the upbeat, danceable track takes the listener on a whirlwind journey.

Born to Bite has an alternative backing that is relentless and takes cues from 00s pop punk, and Holler’s tender vocals bring the EP into an emotionally cathartic space. The final track, “Bite,” slows things down for a moment and takes on a Midwest-emo, down-tempo style, with the lyric “I’m only what they make of me” as a thesis statement about losing yourself, the manipulation of performance, and living truthfully.

Holler’s writing is mature and introspective, with feminist undertones that are a welcome presence in the alternative and indie scene.

Final Verdict: 9/10

Standout Tracks:

  • Bruising

  • Monster

Lila Holler soars on this new EP and is continuing to grow as an artist. Holler’s storytelling abilities are entrancing. This EP is a genre-bending indie alternative journey into the modern era of songwriting.
